about me
artist biography

Born in Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia, I studied visual art at Griffith University - QCA, majoring in Printmaking and minoring in Ceramics. I have participated in five group exhibitions in Australia and most recently New York, London, Paris and Milan. She has had one solo exhibition in Spain.

In 1994 I completed an Advanced Certificate in Graphic Design at CATC Design School in Brisbane and commenced a career as a Graphic Designer where I began working in the advertising industry. Throughout my career I have continued to express myself artistically.

I travelled through Spain in 2009 and was inspired to paint the first series. In May of 2010 the following year I had a boutique solo exhibition in Madrid, Spain. This featured eight paintings reflecting contemporary, stylistic symbols of her travels. After time spent living in Madrid I documented my spanish journey through an eclectic mix of interesting illustrations and photographs. In 2011 the bold, expressive Spanish Series developed with impressions of flamenco dancers, bull fighting and Spanish culture.

In May 2017 I was represented by Monteoliveto Gallery where together we launched a series of my limited edition prints (illustrations) at the Coningsby Gallery, London.  After the London exhibition I began work on a new series of ceramic sculptures themed around mother natures four elements. Monteoliveto Gallery has recently exhibited my prints in Paris, Port de Versailles, Mulhouse and Milan.

I have also collaborated with VIDA an online e-commerce fashion charity organisation, who I designed a fashion collection for. With every product sold VIDA hopes to provide the gift of literacy to the makers the garments.

In August 2014 I was represented by Agora Gallery in New York City and exhibited five paintings from my Spanish Series in a group exhibition titled Out From Down Under & Beyond - Fine Art from Australia & New Zealand in the May of 2015.

After the New York exhibition I began work on a new series of illustrations and paintings, themed around my love of ocean life, freedom, respect, dreams of the sleeping kind and time. In this latest series you can see how my style has developed further, becoming more infused with pointillism, texture and symbolism.
